Green Heron
I was able to get this photo of a Green Heron (Butorides virescens) by pure accident. I had stopped to take photos of a different bird and this little fellow happened to catch my eye. I almost missed seeing him because they tend to sit very still almost motionless while waiting for their prey to come into striking distance. Known as of the few tool-using species, Green Herons are known to use bait to help them attract fish. After he posed for this one shot for me I left so he could enjoy the rest of his day of fishing alone.

You can now follow me on twitter. I decided to set up the account to give you an inside look at my daily activities that you may not find on my blog. I also want to give everybody a chance to ask questions about me or about my photos. I have added the link on the blog for you to click and enjoy.
Happy New Year
Well another year has flown by and I have had a lot to be thankful for this year. My website has taken off and I have started a photo blog to share the stories of my photos. I cant thank Justin and Kolla enough for all of their help on my website and blog. 2009 will be an exciting and big year for me and the biggest thing for me will be the birth of my first child. I can hardly wait for him to come. I will have plenty of updates on him and more of my photography adventures to share with all of you.
Happy New Year
Scott
